Skarly joins the Abstract Builder-in-Residence Program
The first cohort of the Abstract BiR program

When I first started building Onchain Heroes, I knew I had the engineering skills and a strong understanding of how to create fun and engaging crypto games. However, I was also aware that my weakness lay in distribution and marketing.

When choosing a chain to partner with, my focus wasn’t on chasing the biggest grant (I had already raised my own angel round) or finding the most advanced tech. Instead, I prioritized finding a partner who could help turn great products into successful launches.

This is where Abstract comes in.

I knew the team at Abstract were masters of distribution (just look at what they’ve accomplished with @pudgypenguins). Earlier this year, I connected with @0x_beans and @stinkypablo to discuss launching on Abstract.

We immediately hit it off. I was fortunate enough to spend time with Beans, @LucaNetz, and @CashBowie in Korea during KBW. Getting to know the team and learning about Abstract’s vision for the future of consumer crypto applications convinced me that this was the right move.

From our first meeting, I knew Abstract would be our new home—a place where Onchain Heroes could truly thrive. The Builders in Residence (BiR) program perfectly complements my technical background while supercharging our ability to reach and engage users.

Starting with Onchain Heroes, I’ll be working closely with the Abstract team to build the next generation of crypto gaming experiences that players genuinely want to play.

We want to contribute to the cultural impact of consumer crypto applications, and there’s no better place to do that than on Abstract.

Keep up to date by following us on X, where we will share the latest updates around the game.
